GEW possesses the required competency in the field of structural steelwork and has been a strategic partner and largest steel supplier and contractor of uSky Transport since 2019, when the original contract for the construction of Test Track 1 with a flexible string rail overpass was signed.

While Track 1 was commissioned in May 2021 today GEW is already in the final stages of fabricating the steel structures of Test Track 4, where a semi-rigid track structure will be implemented.

uSky Transport representatives visited the GEW machine shop for intermediate quality control of the fabricated structural members of Track 4 structure.

Timely intermediate verification of structure assemblies at the factory allows to avoid problems and nonconformities during the in-situ field erection works on the project site at a later stage.

The inspection results revealed the compliance with the requirements and tolerances of the structural design drawings, thus enabled the issuance of the approval to the supplier for the final assembly of the units.
