Installation of innovative string-rail track structure on Test Track 4

Building transport overpass is a symbiosis of engineering ideas, technology and experience. Each of these fields entails responsibility, professionalism and commitment of the engineers and workers who make a reality of it.


From the technical point of view specifically, installation of our prestressed string rail track structure is implementation of innovative solutions adopted at different stages and levels of design and technology development. Digression or failure to meet design and technological requirements will result in a chain of negative consequences, payment for which is hard cash or time delays.


Building the string-rail transport overpass is a task, contractors have not ever faced in any country in the world. After all, construction of string roads is, firstly, manufacture of high-precision metal structures, works on multiple kilometer-long prestressed sectors with total tension of 1800 tons, as well as ability to use innovative materials and, of course, competent installation contractors.


Installation operation is one of the final, and at the same time, one of most important stages of the overpass life cycle. Negligent performance and incompetence at this stage can devaluate all of previously invested human and financial resources. By working closely together with the contractor, and by consistently meeting all the requirements of the installation process, uSky Transport is verging on completing the construction of the uSky transport and infrastructure complex with more than 2.5 km of total length (with account for the unstressed section).

The time of prestressing strands (about 100 of them here) works has passed. They are already shaped into cross sections as designed and ready for the next stage. Support clinches provide the required shape of the upper chord, and also determine the precise position of suspensions connecting the upper and lower chords
