UAE National Day is a particularly significant holiday in this country, and is celebrated on December 2. This is time for natives and residents to come together and celebrate unity, progress and achievements of the UAE.
By our already established tradition, on this day, uSky Transport team gathers with its contractors to discuss the year’s preliminary results and celebrate National Day together.
The uSky Test & Certification Centre site is an indescribable world where lives pulsating energy of hard work, where sounds of hammers and machines create a symphony of advance and where every brick, every beam are bricks and beams of the future. These are not just technical processes and engineering solutions, it is a real drama of the art of creation.
“We have done a huge scope for handing over for uSky Transport anchors and intermediate supports, which are the main track for uPods. And we got a huge knowledge from this scope for future. The handing over stage for Cargo & Passenger Station and Cargo & Passenger Terminal (Test Track 4) was a huge challenge, we face some difficulties during the handing-over process due to the novelty of the Project for us, but we are in ASAK always professional to solve any difficulties and challenges. Now we are in the process of Civil Defense inspection with SEWA connection with full proud and hope to make the efforts came true and run uPod”, says Tarek Hussain, Project Manager at Al Serh Al Kabeer Construction.
Construction is creating collectively. Each worker is an artist, creating their own picture of a great work. From the stage of the first brick to completion of finishing works, construction site becomes a platform for bringing ideas and innovations to life. Not only material structures are built here, but also images of future, and a home for future events and stories.
Life of a construction site is not only labour, but also challenges. From unpredictable weather to technical hardships, construction site faces challenges that require ability to quickly adapt and find solutions. This is a school of cooperation and survival, where the team becomes a single organism capable of overcoming any difficulties.
“From a vision sketched and presented last year to be the foremost driver that pioneers the latest technological breakthroughs in the transportation history, that’s how I can describe the great achievement we had reached last year in the development of our uSky Transport & Infrastructure Technology. As Head of MEP department in IEC I can say that the technology that had been implemented in our project ahead of its time , we had introduced and executed new technology of transportation within the most arising era of sustainably by providing a new mean of transportation which does not require a complicated and expensive power supply systems reducing the amount of electrical consumption for our transportation system and that can depend on any mean of green energy mean while we had developed the technology of communication along with other related MEP works to reach to our goal as one of the best sustainable transportation solution. I was glad with our achievement last year 2023 by starting the operation on our uSky track phase 2 allocated at Sharjah UAE, despite the challenges we had faced we had reached our goal and we are looking forward to make our technology widely accessible and usable by all”, says Ahmed Lotfy, MEP at International Engineering Consultants.
Significance of each type of work at Test Track 4 cannot be overestimated. Each part contributes to creating durable, safe and functional structure that also meets all applicable requirements. Construction work is a team effort where each step is important to achieve the overall goal.
“It is exciting and great opportunity for me to be consultant structural engineer in such amazing and unique and new project, working in uSky project in Sharjah with team of experts of different nationalities and experiences that add to project and me a lot of ideas and motivation , my role as structural engineer is to ensure safety , durability of structures collaborate with contractor and monitoring on site, great deal of informations methods and international structural codes and ideas elaborate my knowledge and project lessons learned which will make next stage of project more efficient”, says Eng. Mohammed Boshara, Structural Engineer at International Engineering Consultants.
“During the construction used resources were on average 50 to 60 workers and 10 to 15 others machinery and equipment also used on daily basis”, notes Asit Roy, Project Engineer of uSky Transport.
uSky Test & Certification Centre is a complete world with its own life flowing, with its own joys, difficulties and successes. This is art of creating future, where every work step is a step towards new history.
