Intermediate supports, to layman’s eyes, are simple metal structures with simple look, and at first glance they do not show any uniqueness. However, from technical point of view, this is the kind of structure to experience a complex combination of loads, it is subject to the highest requirements for strength, durability, sound insulation, strength for vertical and wind, static and dynamic loads, vibration and corrosion resistance.
With such a set of requirements, one obviously has to exercise control at every step of manufacturing, assembly and installation of the structure, from laying foundations to installation of supports, which the string-rail track structure stands on. And this work culminates with issuance of the quality certificate. Earlier we already released a post about the certificate obtained for Intermediate Supports. Better yet, let’s use this opportunity to look deep into the process.
Below are the works carried out by TUV SW Standardization Certifications and the detailed report on all of the support structure’s key elements:
Galadari documents has been reviewed for intermediate Support structures;
Visual inspection has been carried out for intermediate Support structures;
Magnetic particle inspection has been carried out for intermediate Support structures;
Bolt tightening inspection has been witnessed;
Welder qualification test certificates & welding procedure specification documents has been reviewed.
Today, uSky Transport is proud to announce completion of the Stage 1 certification works, where our Intermediate Supports were the object. Those are the structures designed to provide the necessary position of the uSky track structure at the location, outside the anchor supports, and for transfering vertical and transverse horizontal forces to the ground.
