Green technologies, often referred to as clean technologies, include a wide range of innovations, practices and processes aiming at creating solutions that are cleaner and more sustainable than traditional ones. The main goal of green technologies is to minimize the negative impact of human activity on environment, to conserve resources, reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

Green tech plays a crucial role in global efforts to combat climate change, reduce pollution and achieve long-term sustainability. More and more governments, businesses and private residents are adopting green technologies and practices to build a greener and more sustainable future. Innovations in this field often bring economic benefits, create jobs and improve quality of life, while also protecting the planet.

In recent years, the United Arab Emirates have made significant strides in introducing and promoting green tech and sustainable development. The country fully recognizes the importance of transitioning to a more sustainable and greener economy, given its dependence on fossil fuels and the need to diversify its energy sources.

The UAE's commitment to eco-friendly technologies and sustainable development is driven by recognition of relevancy to generally diversify its economy, reduce carbon emissions and ensure a sustainable future in the face of global environmental challenges.

The uSky Transport system is designed to be environmentally friendly, with low energy consumption and zero carbon emissions. Since the system uses autonomous self-propelled electric vehicles uPods that travel on elevated tracks off the ground surface, it eliminates the need for traditional roadways, thus reducing traffic congestion and emissions. Additionally, the system is designed to be energy-efficient. This is attributable not to electric propulsion system only – yes, we are electric! But what is even more crucial – we have very minor energy losses resulting from low rolling friction. In physics, they also call it rolling resistance, or sometimes rolling drag, which is the force resisting the motion when a vehicle rolls on any surface. A turning steel wheel in contact with a steel rail reduces by 85–99% the amount of rolling friction than a rolling rubber pneumatic tire has in contact with an asphalt or concrete pavement. So, much of a car’s gasoline or diesel bill goes into bending and wearing out tires rather than transporting people or freight.

In addition to being a significant waste of energy, the rubbing of tires on pavement is also a significant source of pollution. Every time you replace your tires because they are wearing out, all the rubber that was on the tire when it was new, but has disappeared thousands of miles later, has been ground off in minute particles that have fouled the air and water. These particles stay in the environment just like a discarded tire will endure for years.

By providing a sustainable and efficient transportation solution, uSky Transport aims to promote a cleaner environment.
