At uSky Transport, safety is not just a formal requirement but a core principle of engineering philosophy. This approach was once again confirmed during comprehensive testing of the rectifier unit for traction power supply, conducted in collaboration with the international certification body SWTUV.

Specialists from uSky Transport and SWTUV experts developed a detailed testing program consisting of 12 test points, each aligned with current international standards.

The evaluation was based on the following key standards:

  • IEC 61727:2004 - Photovoltaic (PV) Systems - Characteristics of the Utility Interface.

  • IEC 62109-1:2010 - Safety of Power Converters for Use in Photovoltaic Power Systems -Part 1: General Requirements.

  • IEC 60364-6:2016 - Low Voltage Electrical Installations - Part 6: Verification.

  • IEC 60364-4-41:2005 - Low Voltage Electrical Installations - Part 4-41: Protection Against Electric Shock.

The testing focused on:

  • Effectiveness of protection systems in both emergency and operational modes, including selectivity requirements;

  • Correctness and reliability of electrical connections;

  • Temperature performance of components under various operating conditions and maximum ambient temperatures;

  • Compliance with electrical safety standards.

For uSky Transport, such tests are not just a mandatory step but part of a systematic approach to developing technologies where reliability and safety are absolute priorities.
