Fascinating uSky tour for engineering students from Indian university

[25.07.2022]

uSky Transport’s interaction with educational institutions is gaining momentum. The students of the University of Tunis Carthage, the Republic of Tunisia, the College of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Sharjah, Higher Colleges of Technology, and young achievers from Rubu' Qarn Foundation are already familiar with uSky Transport & Infrastructure Technology.

This time, thanks to Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park), an exciting uSky tour was held for students from Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), India.

The students majoring in Petroleum & Chemical Engineering, Mechanical & Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer & ICT Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering showed their genuine interest in uSky Transport & Infrastructure Technology.

The student delegation was accompanied by Dr. Pravin Kodgire, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University. Dr Kodgire is a founder member of the Center for Bio-fuel and Bio-energy Studies.

The students enthusiastically explored the company’s flagship electric vehicle, the comfortable high-speed uFlash, and peppered the uSky representative with questions about the novel mode of transportation.

The to-be engineers were told about the design features of the semi-rigid track structure and were demonstrated its main components.

The semi-rigid track structure consists of many members each performing its designated function: the composite body creates a rigid and at the same time light protection of the strands against the environment and other external impacts, and the strands in each chord ensure the required load-bearing capacity, the aluminum profile enables the transmission of electric current to long distances with minimal losses. All these components form a section of the transport overpass.

uSky Transport is situated as a part of the transformation towards smart solutions for urban energy, and mobility, offering to the market passenger and freight traffic solutions based on transcendent off-the-ground transport technology. The highly efficient and environmentally friendly uSky electric vehicles improve the safety of high-speed transportation due to rolling stocks traveling high above the ground, thus eliminating any chance of collision with other objects and vehicles moving on the ground surface.
